Family violence prevention - Fundación Contra El Hambre
campagna-2

The Family Violence Prevention for Early Recovery project aims to reduce the rates of family violence in the framework of early recovery affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In the same way, it seeks to address the risk factors that originate the deterioration of mental health, in the intervention areas of FH Peru, both in the urban and rural zones in the regions of Lima and Huancavelica, to prevent the increase of violence against family members in communities in the middle of the pandemic.

Given the situation that the community population is facing, strategic actions are being implemented to reduce the effects of the crisis in the areas of mental health and reduction of family violence, by which two purposes have been considered to contribute to the mental health of families and to increase positive parenting practices at home so as to prevent violence.

The aim is to strengthen families in the practice of parenting guidelines and violence prevention for a better relationship at home, reducing the abuse of children and adolescents, which affects their growth, thereby generating changes in the behavior of caregivers. To this end, the participation of the mother and the father is encouraged in order to ensure a proper family life free of violence.

Information will be shared through videos on practices to contribute to good mental health in inhabitants of the beneficiaries, taking into account the risk factors that cause the deterioration of mental health and family violence in community households.
