Education - Fundación Contra El Hambre
campagna-5

The project Education with children and adolescents in the phase of early recovery will be executed in the regions of Lima and Huancavelica, and aims at contributing to the education of children and adolescents in the framework of Covid-19. For that reason, the project has designed strategies for its intervention with parents, children and adolescents. Virtual clubs for reading comprehension, training sessions in skills for decision-making addressed to students of 11th and 12th grades have been designed in order to strengthen the decision to continue with their studies. On the other hand, the project considers the implementation of study environments and the distribution of digital gadgets, thus allowing the access to virtual platforms from a cozy and pleasant place.

In addition, the strategy of face-to-face workshops against stress will be developed in response to the need to address the socio-emotional area where the most affected ones are adolescents and children. Other initiatives include virtual workshops on emotional containment with caregivers and/or parents towards the improvement of support capacities during this pandemic, and this is complemented by the monitoring of children and adolescents who require special attention in their emotional area.

On the basis of the national education plans, a series of strategies have been put in place to reduce school drop-outs for this year 2021. Therefore, the strategy is to carry out community-based communication and promotion campaigns for reintegration, school permanence, and workshops to promote the socio-affective area with children and adolescents, thus avoiding the educational interruption and guaranteeing the access to permanent and flexible learning modalities.
